Graduation Requirements

Hartville High School Graduates must have 28 total credits to graduate.


English: 4 credits (English I, II, III, Applied Communications, Folklore/Mythology or College Prep English)

Math: 3 credits (Algebra IA, Algebra IB, Algebra I, Algebra II, Applied Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra or Statistics)

Science: 3 credits (Physical Science, Biology, Zoology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, or College Biology)

Social Studies: 3 credits (American History, American Government, World History)

Fine Art: 1 credit (Band, Choir, Theatre, Art I, II, III, Music Appreciation)

Practical Art: 1 credit (Ag Science, Animal Science, Ag Structures, General Shop, Woods, Cabinetry, Foods & Nutrition & Wellness, Child Development, Pro Start)

PE: 1 credit (PE or Weight Training)

Technology: 1 credit (Multimedia, Web Design, Adv. Computer Apps, Computer Apps, Desktop)

Health: 1/2 credit

Personal Finance: 1/2 credit

Electives: 10 credits


**All students must take these EOCs: Algebra I, English II, Biology, American Government.

**All students must pass the Missouri Constitution, US Constitution, and Civics tests.


***Students planning to attend a college/university should be aware of entrance requirements higher level schools might have when choosing which high school classes to take. (Ex. Foreign Language)


College Resources

Seniors have 2 college days. To take a college day: Pick up the yellow and blue forms from Mrs. Palmer's office. Have your teachers initial the yellow form to show that you have notified them you will be gone and picked up any work you might miss. Turn the YELLOW form in to Mrs. Palmer BEFORE your college day. Fill out the BLUE form while on your college day and return it to Mrs. Palmer AFTER your visit.

FAFSA

Complete the FAFSA as soon as it is available. (October 1st)

You and your parents will need a FAFSA ID before completing the FAFSA.
