All About Mrs. Holst
All About Mrs. Holst
I am Lindsy Holst, the K-12 Talented and Gifted Teacher at HMS. This is my 6th year at HMS. I have been teaching for 16 years. Before HMS I taught 5th and 6th grades in Sioux Rapids, IA and Pipestone, MN.
I grew up in Beaver Creek, MN on our family farm. I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a BS in Elementary Education along with middle school math and science endorsements. I am currently working on my TAG classes through BVU.
My husband Doug (an HMS graduate) and I have two little boys who keep us busy, Jace is 11 and John is 5. We live on a farm between Hartley and Everly. We stay busy caring for the sheep, chickens, and cattle. We enjoy being outdoors; fishing, hunting, boating, and camping.
Some of my favorite memories of teaching are; edible cell model projects, directing plays, traveling to St Paul for the PLC conference, and working with students during WIN time.
