Hello! My name is Kristi Daggett.
I have been teaching for 19 years, and this will be my 15th year at HMS!
I teach 6th grade general music, 7/8 Choir, HS Choir, and Jazz Choir.
MY EDUCATION:
I graduated from Augustana College ('08) in Sioux Falls, SD with a Bachelor's degree in K-12 Vocal Music Education. After college, I taught K-12 vocal music in Wabasso, MN (2008-2012).
In 2022, I completed training for Conversational Solfege and will implement into our curriculum.
In addition to teaching choir, I have enjoyed directing many community musicals in Redwood Falls, MN and Spencer, IA, leading Praise and Worship Team at Grace Fellowship, and helping others swap to safer essentials at the Wellness Store.
MY FAMILY:
My husband Isaiah and I live in Sanborn and we have a blended family:
Natalie (college), Kaelyn (11th), Hunter (11th) Preston (8th), Emmett (7th), and Kolt (turns 4 in November).
When I'm not at school, I enjoy cooking, doing family activities, health and wellness, visiting family and friends, going on walks, and shopping.
If you ever feel the urge to buy me a coffee, I love Cold Brew with Pistachio Cold Foam from Daily Grind, or a Dirty Chai with cherry cold foam from the Grain House! :)
My goal as a teacher is to instill a lifelong passion for music.
