Hello! My name is Kristi Daggett.
I have been teaching for 18 years, and this will be my 14th year at HMS!
6th grade music, 7/8 Choir, HS Choir, Jazz Choir, and Flag Corps.
MY EDUCATION:
I graduated from Augustana College ('08) in Sioux Falls, SD with a Bachelor's degree in K-12 Vocal Music Education. After college, I taught K-12 vocal music in Wabasso, MN (2008-2012). The music department completed training in Conversational Solfege in 2022. I am Conversationsal Solfege certified and will be implementing into our curriculum.
In addition to teaching choir, I have enjoyed directing community musicals, and being a part of our Praise and Worship Team at Grace Fellowship.
MY FAMILY:
My husband Isaiah and I live in Sanborn and we have a blended family:
Natalie (12th), Kaelyn (10th), Hunter (10th), Preston (7th), Emmett (6th), and Kolt (turning 3 in November).
When I'm not at school, I enjoy cooking, doing family activities, health and wellness, visiting family and friends, going on walks, and shopping.
If you ever feel the urge to buy me a coffee, I love Cold Brew with Pistachio Cold Foam from Daily Grind, or a Dirty Chai from the Grain House! :)
My goal as a teacher is to instill a lifelong passion for music.
"Music changes the world because music changes people."
