1) September= Review Conversational Solfege Unit 3 

2) September-November= Conversational Solfege Unit 4 

       I can echo, decode, and read patterns using Mi-Re-Do

2nd Semester Objectives:

1) Continue with  Unit 4: Mi-Re-Do.  Writing Steps 9-12: Notating/Decoding/Creating using Mi-Re-Do in 2/4 time du and du-de; and 6/8 time du, du-da-di, du__di

2) Unit 5: I can echo, decode, and read patterns using Do-Re-Mi-SO

2) February-April  Rehearsal Skills and concert prep

3) Guitar unit after Spring Concert

CONVERSATIONAL SOLFEGE

Tonal: The student's syllable performance RUBRIC:

• 4 - Was accurate in the use of syllables with corresponding pitch/duration.

• 3 - Was nearly accurate with a few misplaced syllables.

• 2 - Included a mix of accuracy and inaccuracy.

• 1 - Was mostly or completely inaccurate, with very few correctly placed syllables.

Rehearsal Skills Rubric

4 - Exemplary:
Consistently follows instructions with focus, demonstrating strong understanding. Executes tasks well and contributes positively without distractions.

3 - Proficient:
Generally follows instructions and shows good understanding. Executes tasks effectively, with minimal distraction to peers.

2 - Developing:
Sometimes follows instructions but engagement is inconsistent. Task execution varies, occasionally causing distractions.

1 - Needs Improvement:
Rarely follows instructions, showing limited understanding. Struggles with tasks and frequently distracts others.
