You do not need to buy any text books for either the A Level or BTEC courses as we give you printed/ electronic resources on all topics and also have a very well stocked learning resource centre. If you did however want to purchase one as an additional resource the most useful books are below:

This documentary looks at the working of the Supreme Court, the highest legal court in the UK
This is a BBC documentary looking at law reform and the change to the double jeopardy rule (warning there may be details which are upsetting).
This documentary looks at the appeal of Sally Challen against her conviction for the murder of her husband. (Warning there are some details that you may find upsetting as they it includes domestic violence).
This is a series of 5 episodes that reveals the inner workings of the legal system. It involves a fictional murder case that is tried in a real court by eminent legal professionals and a jury of 12 members of the public. This is a good follow up to the legal people activity as it allows you to see a Crown Court case working. (Warning there is some strong language and scenes of violence).
This documentary follows the story of Tony Martin who was convicted for killing a teenager who burgled his farm (warning there are some scenes that may be upsetting).
This documentary follows 'Tuckers' a law firm in Manchester and the kind of cases they deal with (includes some strong language).
