This course is designed to help students develop important professional skills and prepare students for success in a college-level chemistry/physics course.  Inquiry, literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking will be emphasized in this course through a variety of individual and team-based learning activities.

 Through completion of this course students will:

• Increase math and logic skills needed to evaluate real problems and make informed personal decisions.

• Use purposeful written and spoken language to accurately compose, evaluate, and defend scientific claims.

• Develop hands-on skills to accurately perform, document, and interpret scientific experiments.
