To help your child succeed in chemistryclass, there are five simple things that you can do/provide:
CHECK PROGRESS REPORTS—I will be updating student grades weekly on PowerSchool (https://powerschool.hartfordschools.org/public/). By logging on to PowerSchool you will be able to see a detailed summary of your son/daughter’s grade in class and attendance record.
HOMEWORK/ASSIGNMENTS—Make sure that your child studies chemistry each night for 20 minutes or more. Homework will be assigned daily and all assignments will be posted on this class website.
BE INVOLVED—Regularly check the course website to find out what is happening in class, attend parent-teacher conferences, and of course feel free to reach out to me.
4. ENCOURAGEMENT—Encourage your child’s efforts in learning chemistry. Encourage him/her to participate in class, ask questions, and come in for extra help when needed.
5. SUPPLIES—Obtain the following supplies your child will need in class. Please contact me if you or your child cannot get any of these supplies.
