In language arts, we support students with their reading, writing, spelling, listening, and speaking skills. We utilize a variety of programs to support all of these skills. At home your child can:
Read to you OR you can read to them.
Participate in family conversations daily.
Find words or letters they know on road signs, storefronts, or in magazines and newspapers.
Write your grocery list before shopping.
Write letters to friends or relatives both far away and near--everyone loves receiving mail!
Here is a list of websites that may be interesting for your child to use at home:
https://www.storyplace.org/ (geared toward pre-school)
https://www.storynory.com/ (audio books)
https://www.getepic.com/educators (this will cost money)
**These are just a few examples. Please contact us if you would like specific activities to support your child's needs.**
