Minecraft Explorations is our website used to document our efforts and composition. It is fairly new, so the content is still sparse. Most notable is the ongoing ToDo list that I use to assign tasks. This is necessary to ensure that some work gets done along with all the building that takes place without any prompting. The website is a repository for our evidence of learning and collaborating. It also allows us to publish ourselves with content that is pertinent and meaningful. Every effort is made to show only our own work, never borrowed from other online sources.
Minecraft is relevant in my classroom because it is a collaborative effort that requires communication, research, experimentation, planning, and problem solving. In my classroom it requires a growing collection of computer skills to manage file locations, take screen grabs, and record video tutorials. This is performed by two classes that meet on different days and work together in the same virtual world and develop a common website.
