Here is the Bell Schedule for the year
In order for a student to become an an Honor Scholar for Graduation (wearing a red robe at graduation), students must have a 4.0 cumulative weighted GPA at the end of 1st semester Senior Year (Cumulative weighted GPA of all 7 semesters of high school combined). Winter or Spring COC classes taken during senior year will not be included in this GPA, because they do not finish until after the end of the grading period when Honors Scholars calculation are determined. Fall COC classes taken during senior year, can be included in this GPA, as long as the student submits their COC transcript to Hart before sping semester at Hart begins.
CCR (Career & College Readiness) classes are a great way to find a career, or to pursue your passion. The Extended Day CCR classes are after school classes offered usually one day a week in all types of careers. You can earn a career pathway certificate, if you complete the pathway. They offer career classes in Animal/Vet Science, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Education, Engineering, Fire Science, Hospitality, Patient Care, Music Industry and many more. Scan the QR code at the top to see all the classes that are available.
All these classes have a sequence. You would have to take the first level of the course (concentrator) before you could move into the capstone course. If you were interested in taking a Pharmacy course, you would not be able to take it until you took Body Systems & Disorders first. Some of the pathways may have a 3rd course involved called a practicum, where you are actually working in that career and get real world experience.
If you decide to take one of these courses, it would be your 7th class. These classes are great way to earn extra credits (5 credits per semester). It may mean that you would have less classes to take in your Junior or Senior year. You will earn practical art or elective credits by taking these classes.
If you are interested in taking a CCR (After School Career & College Readiness) class, here is the form to sign up. The upper QR code has the schedule of CCR classes (Day of the week, time and location). The bottom QR code is the Sign up.
Once you decide to take one of these classes, sign up as soon as possible. The classes will fill quickly, because any student throughout the 6 high schools can sign-up for that course.
If you have any questions, stop into my office anytime or email me.
-Students who have 15 or more Tadies or unecused absences combined will not be allowed to have a zero period.
Here is a tour of the Hart District's CCR website.
Clubs At Hart High
Here is a preliminary list of Clubs for the 22-23 school year. This gives the name of the club, day they meet and location of the meetings.
It is very important to get involved at Hart. Besides sports, clubs are a great way to meet like minded people and new friends. Plus, colleges like to see you involved in clubs and hold leadership roles in that club at some point in your high school career. So find a club that interests you and join them.
ASB will be adding clubs to this list, so click on the link for the most updated list of clubs on campus. ASB Club Page
