The following google slides are from our College Application Workshop held on 10/21/25
As we start to wind down the school year, we need to make you aware of a few things. If you plan to attend college after graduation, colleges require a final, official transcript showing all grades received in high school, and proof you’re a high school graduate. You must request this from our registrar before you graduate. To request that an official transcript go to your chosen college, please visit Canyon High School's website and choose Transcripts.
To ALL seniors, we strongly suggest having a copy of your transcript sent to your home as well so you will always have an official copy for your records. Please use the link above and plan to order a transcript before you graduate in June.
Information Hub
Hart District parents and guardians, here is news about recently passed legislation and we are requesting your assistance with completing the requirements of the new regulations. Last year, AB 469 was passed. The legislation requires all California seniors complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), to complete an application for the California Dream Act (CADAA), or to “opt-out” prior to the end of their senior year.
Included with this information, you will find instructions on how you can complete your senior’s FAFSA or CADAA application. You will also find a copy of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the FAFSA and CADAA.
Please review these documents and begin to determine how you would like to proceed with this requirement for your senior. The window to begin completing the FAFSA or CADAA forms will begin on October 1. Students will be expected to submit proof of their FAFSA submission, their CADAA submission, or a signed opt-out form in the Spring.

The Common App
Most college applicants consider using the Common Application. Why? If your college list is long, it can save time. With the Common App, you enter your basic information and stats into a single application that is sent to all your colleges. The Common App also centralizes all the pieces of your applications—essays, supplemental questions, recommendations, deadlines—all in one place.

Students who are residents of WICHE states are eligible to request a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state.
The WUE reduced tuition rate is not automatically awarded to all eligible candidates. Many institutions limit the number of new WUE awards each academic year, so apply early!
WICHE members include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
