Welcome to the LeGrande Library Media Center!

Library Contract

This year we will not be requiring students to fill out a Library Contract. However, not all students/classes will begin checkout at the same time, if at all. This decision is based on maturity on a case by case bases of younger students.

Additionally, students who lose or damage a library book will continue to be responsible for replacing or paying for that book.

LeGrande Library Mission & Goals

Mission

The mission of the LeGrande Elementary School Library Media Center is to support the educational programs of the school by providing the students, faculty and school community with a wide range of materials on all appropriate levels of difficulty. The materials and services provided here will encourage a growth in knowledge and a lifelong love of reading and learning.

Goals

To provide materials and services that support the curriculum of the school
To provide materials and services that support the informational and recreational needs of the students and school community
To encourage collaboration between the media specialist and classroom teachers on class research projects
To promote information literacy
To make reading fun and enjoyable
