In the instructions below, there are two options for entering your grades:
Option 1: You can enter the grades into the gradebook, then post the grades when the window opens.
Advantages:
You can enter grades whenever you want to, not just when the window is open.
You can compare the progress report grade with the report card grade easily.
If the grade does not change between progress report and report card, you do not have to do anything extra.
You can print a gradebook page with the scores to use when you switch from one 9 week period to another so you know what you entered for the previous 9 week period.
You can combine rosters within the gradebook so all the students are on the same list.
Disadvantages:
You have to submit the grades at the end of each 9 week period when the grading window opens. This just means that when the window opens, you will go to each standard in the gradebook, click the word "Post" and follow the instructions. (Or you can use the Multi-Post option to post all grades at one time to make this easier.)
Option 2: You can put your grades directly in the Post Grades screen.
Advantages:
You only have to enter the grades, you do not have to also post them.
If a grade doesn't change between progress report and report card, you do not have to change them.
You can choose whether to enter all standards for one student at a time, or enter all students for one standard at a time.
Disadvantages:
You can only enter grades when the window is open.
You can not see the progress report grade and the report card grade side by side.
You can't print the grades from the previous 9 weeks to use to compare when switching to a new 9 week period.
