Hello! My name is Nicolette Taglienti and I will be your child's homeroom and ELA teacher this year! I want to take this time to introduce myself and tell you a little about me.
I am 28 years old and I grew up in Washington Township, NJ, where I also currently reside. I attended Rowan University for college and dual majored in both Elementary Education and American Studies. I graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors degree in both content areas. This school year will be my 6th year teaching, and my first full year at PVS! I started teaching at PVS this past December, as the maternity leave substitute for Mrs. Zuccato right down the hall. Before coming to PVS I taught 2nd grade and 1st grade. I truly loved teaching lower elementary, however, decided to make the switch to 4th. I absolutely love 4th grade and am so excited to start my first full year!
When I am not in the classroom, I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I like to spend time at home reading or watching TV with my cat, Bindy. I love to exercise, and completed my first (and probably last) half marathon run this past February in Disney World! I love traveling to new places in the summer, or spending time in Stone Harbor at the beach!
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. Growing up, school was my happy place and I have many perfect attendance awards to prove it! I strive to make my classroom a place where all students feel welcome, safe, and respected. I love getting to know my students and letting them get to know me. Your child's education is my top priority, as I believe learning is a life-long journey. I am looking forward to a year full of learning, new experiences, and lots of laughs along the way!
