Since fourth graders eat lunch so early in the day, students may bring a healthy snack to eat during 8th period. The snack must be provided from home or it can be bought during your child’s lunch time. Students should be able to eat the snack and continue working at the same time. Allowing your child to eat a small snack is an option that we choose to incorporate within our daily routine. I always keep extra snacks in the room for emergencies, so feel free to donate any unopened, prepackaged snacks from home!
**WATER BOTTLES: If you choose to bring a water bottle, it must be able to close (no straws) and may be no larger than 24 ounces. Only water is allowed in the bottle. We also have fountains in the classrooms and hallways.
PVS welcomes birthday treats and we look forward to celebrating your child's special day! Birthday treats will be shared during lunch time in the cafeteria. Please send in a notice in advance if you plan to bring birthday treats in for your child. Treats should be individually portioned to easily distribute to students, as well as store bought. Feel free to send any plates/napkins or utensils in addition to the treat for easy distribution. No full size cakes or cookie cakes, please. If your child's birthday is over the summer, you can send in a treat for their 1/2 birthday, or the last week of school, whatever works for you!
Happy Celebrating!!!!
