A little about Ms. Heitman

The 2023-2024 school year will be my 16th year teaching at Pleasant Valley School. I absolutely love my job! Teaching and learning with my students is something that I truly enjoy. I consider myself a life long learner. I know there is no limit to what can be learned and I love to push myself to continue to acquire knowledge. This mindset often has me researching new ways that I can continue to improve the learning experience for the students in my class. I lead by example and show my students that it's good to try new things - even if it's not what you expected, you will still learn from it! :)

In addition to teaching, I am also a coach at Clearview High School. I coach the girls varsity basketball team. I am a huge sports fan! I love watching games and going to them. I support the Philadelphia teams - Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers. I also enjoy watching college basketball. Villanova is my favorite college team.

In my free time, I try to stay active. I enjoy taking walks with my dogs, Beans and Phoenix. When I'm trying to relax, I enjoy reading or watching some of my tv shows. The beach is my favorite place to be. There's nothing better than relaxing in the sun, reading a great book, and listening to the waves crash! My friends,family, and two Boston Terrier pups are extremely important to me, so I also spend a ton of my free time with them.
