IB Dance Year 2

IB Dance Year 2, continues the work students began while enrolled in the year 1 course. Students continue to study a variety of world dance traditions through exposure to physical practice and observation as well as written investigation. Examining dance from both familiar and unfamiliar cultures and/or traditions develops comparative thinking skills and deepens understanding of one‘s own culture, as well as others. At the end of this two-year course, all students complete IB internal and external assessments. In addition to IB assessments, participation in both winter and spring dance concerts are mandatory, in addition to workshops throughout the year.  See "announcements" page for important dates and times related to these performances and events.
