Director of Bands

Meet the Director

Mr. Cobb holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance (Saxophone) with a minor in Education from Chowan University. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of music programs and students across North Carolina.

Prior to joining Overhills High School, Mr. Cobb served as the Director of Bands at East Columbus Jr./Sr. High School in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. He has also had the privilege of working with the North Carolina Governor’s School East for the past five years, first serving as an Instrumental Music Fellow and now as a Communications Coordinator, supporting some of the most talented student musicians in the state.

This year marks Mr. Cobb’s second year serving as the Director of Bands at Overhills High School. He is excited to continue building upon the program’s successes, creating meaningful musical experiences, and helping students grow as musicians, leaders, and individuals.

Let’s get ready for another incredible year of growth, music-making, and memories! Mr. Cobb looks forward to meeting each of you and making this a great year for the Overhills Band Program!
