Accepting new clients!
Welcome! I’m Dr. Alexandra Vlahakes, and I’m here to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. As a psychologist, I work with individuals to navigate life’s challenges and foster personal growth. My approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a deep belief in the resilience within each person.
I specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic theory, to tailor treatment to your unique needs. Whether you're facing specific difficulties or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to help you find clarity, healing, and peace.
I also have familiarity with a number of other methods of treatment, including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, or, "tapping"), transference-focused psychotherapy, internal family systems (IFS), expressive art therapies, play therapy, schema therapy, exposure therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
