Welcome to our 6th Form

Dear Parents, Carers and Prospective Students,

We are delighted to welcome you to our 6th Form Open Evening.

This is a vitally important year for your child and difficult decisions will have to be made. We welcome you to come in for a visit on the advertised evening to discuss our course provision with staff and current 6th Form students. However, if this is not possible we are able to arrange bespoke visits during the normal school day by appointment.

We place great emphasis on developing young leaders who are confident, resourceful and articulate and we are proud of the contributions our 6th Form students make to everyday school life. We offer a broad and balanced Key Stage 5 curriculum that includes significant enrichment provision, ensuring students are able to develop the soft skills needed for successful application to competitive Higher Education institutions.

Outcomes for our students are very high; 48% of A Level grades (and equivalent qualifications) are A*-B and 83% of grades are A*-C. That said, our students are not just a set of statistics; we value each and everyone as an individual to be nurtured as they progress through the Key Stage.

If you are a student who currently studies at Harlington School, please do not hesitate to approach a member of the 6th Form Leadership team for further information about courses. Also ensure you speak with your teachers and current 6th Form students. We are increasingly welcoming more and more students from other schools- over the past few years around 20% of our students have been recruited from schools other than Harlington. If you are an external applicant, do not hesitate to get in touch with the school if you require any further information or advice about the courses we offer.
