Hello HMS Families!

Welcome to the HMS PTO website. We are looking forward to the 2026-2027 School Year! Here you will find upcoming school and family events, helpful information for parents and students, and everything you need to know about our organization.

Interested in getting involved in the PTO? We'd love to have you join us. Whether it's volunteering for an event, helping with fundraising, joining a committee, or finding other ways to contribute. Reach out anytime. We'd love to work with you to make HMS even better for our students!

THE HUSKIE CUP

The Huskie Cup is here!

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is here, with a new twist! Every HMS student is bringing home a flyer and donation envelope and we hope every student will participate in the Huskie Cup!

Here's how it works: students raise at least $10 to enter the Cup, then on October 14th, HMS students will compete in fun, active challenges to earn points for their grade. The grade with the highest points at the end of the day, wins a celebration. The more students that participate for each grade, the better chances of winning! As a bonus, the more a student raises individually, the more Huskie gear they can earn along the way. AND, the top 5 students with the most donations win a Harlem Huskies bluetooth speaker!

PLUS, every dollar raised goes straight back to the students — funding additional classroom and PE equipment, field trips, student incentives, and school celebrations throughout the year.

What to do: Watch for your student's envelope, help them collect sponsor donations, and turn it in to school with gear sizes by October 7th! Together, we can make HMS even better!

Please join us at our next PTO meeting. Let's get together and talk about what the PTO can do for the school to help our students succeed.

This is a casual meet and greet where we discuss what we want to accomplish this year and finalize plans for events. We welcome all parents and teachers and hope that you will help us make HMS even better for everyone!

CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT TEAM

Got a green thumb? Handy with tools? Love a good before-and-after? This year, our Campus Improvement Team is expanding! Students will be pitching in on landscaping, planting, mulching, cleanup, and maybe some new hands-on projects for general school improvements, inside and out. We need parent volunteers to help guide and supervise students as they work. No special skills required — just a willingness to show up and lend a hand. Whether you're a contractor, a weekend DIYer, or someone who just likes helping keep things looking great, one or two days of your time makes a real difference. Interested? Contact us to get involved!

BINGO

Our Spring BINGO is back! This is a free, fun-filled night for HMS students and their families! But we can't pull it off without parent help. We're looking for volunteers to help secure donations and prizes, plan and promote the event, or lend a hand the night of BINGO. Whether you have a few hours or more, your help makes this event possible for HMS families. Contact us if you are interested in helping out. We'd love to have you on the team!
