I am ecstatic to be teaching in the Harlem District because I am a former student of Marquette and a Harlem graduate. After graduating from Rockford College, I obtained a masters degree in educational leadership from Aurora University. I have been teaching since 1998. After teaching Spanish at West Middle School in the Rockford School District for three years and 3rd grade in Brookfield for two years, I moved back to Machesney Park in 2004 to marry Brad Shields. We welcomed our first son, Boden Torre, on December 24, 2007 and our second son, Ryan Gabriel, on September 6, 2010. You may know me as one of the former Windsor teachers. I was a member of the Ski Broncs in 1991 when they placed first at Nationals. I enjoy scrapbooking, camping, horseback riding, going to flea markets, and water skiing.  Stop by soon to introduce yourself.
