The Pan-Bay Area Model UN Conference, or PanMUN, is a one-day, beginner-friendly conference held annually at The Harker School, San Jose, typically in late September.
I. Eligibility and attendance
Students in grades 9—12, attending a secondary school, are eligible to register for the conference.
Attending students, delegates and chairs alike, must be accompanied by a chaperone. The chaperone can be a guardian, parent, or representative from their school. The chaperone must stay on campus premises throughout the entire duration of the conference.
The Harker School is a closed campus for the duration of the conference. Students may not exit the campus without permission.
Delegates who check in at the beginning of the day must stay for the entire duration of the conference. Extenuating circumstances for exceptions must be communicated to the Harker Secretariat 72 hours ahead of the conference check-in time. Schools whose delegates leave early without prior approval may be barred from participating in future PanMUN conferences.
