We understand that a student's mental and emotional well-being plays a vital role in their academic success and overall quality of life. Through our School-Based Therapy Program, students have access to licensed mental health professions who provide confidential services in a safe, supportive, and familiar school environment.
School-Based Therapy helps reduce barriers to receiving mental health care by allowing students to attend appointments during the school day, minimizing missed instructional time and elimination transportation challenges. Therapists work with students to address a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, trauma, behavioral challenges, family changes, relationship concerns, and other emotional or mental health needs.
The Youth Services Center partners with community mental health providers to connect students and families with the support they need. Participation in School-Based Therapy is voluntary and requires parent or guardian consent.
If you believe your student could benefit from School-Based Therapy or would like more information about providers and services, please contact the Youth Services Center. We are committed to helping every student access the care, support, and resources they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
To ensure students receive high-quality, trusted care, all School-Based Therapy providers must have an active service contract with Hardin County Schools and be approved by the Superintendent before providing services within the district.
