About Mr. Bearden

Hi, I'm Mr. Bearden.

I've been a Haralson County Rebel for over 20 years now. I graduated from HCHS in 2001, and all through college I kept in touch with other people from HCHS partly because I wanted to come back here and teach at my old high school.

Finally, in 2006, that dream came true. Fresh out of college (and still a little clueless about the real world), I started teaching 9th Grade Lit/Comp and 9th Honors English.

Over time, I started picking up 10th World Lit, 11th Honors English, and 12th Multicultural Lit. I've now taught every grade of high school, and truthfully, I'm not sure I could pick a favorite. Each year seems to have its own challenges and rewards.

In my personal life, I am married and have a daughter.

Mrs. Bearden and I enjoy traveling and camping in various National Parks across America. We have camped or hiked in a variety of parks and monuments:

• Yellowstone National Park
• Colorado National Monument
• Arches National Park
• Capitol Reef National Park
• Bryce Canyon National Park
• Shenandoah National Park
• Blue Ridge Parkway
