Join Fit City Movement & Arts for an artistic exploration around grief.

WHAT GOOD GRIEF IS: This is a community event where people who have experienced or are experiencing grief can engage with others in an empathetic space. Guests will be able to move throughout the studio grounds and opt in or out of activities that grant processing and expression of this universally felt, but seldom acknowledged emotion. Art and non-art activities will be made available, including an opportunity to contribute to the large collaborative mural which will be completed for display on November 2nd - Dia de los Muertos - 2023. No artistic experience is required to attend.

WHAT GOOD GRIEF IS NOT: This is not a group counseling event or support group. Although it may provide relief in ways similar to what therapy can offer, it is not a substitute for licensed or clinical support. This is not a confidential space. While we hope you will feel benefits from your visit, please be aware that you are not under the same protections or standards as a clinical or behavioral health environment. This is not a place of mourning. Although we hold space for sadness and other emotions relevant to grieving, we also invite you to be free to laugh and experience joy. 

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR:
Closed beverage containers and snacks are welcome. Please be prepared to remove your food trash with you when you leave.
We encourage you to wear clothing you can move comfortably in, and that you do not mind getting dirty. Remember, we will have art supplies on hand! BRING YOUR UNFINISHED PROJECTS AND ANY EXTRA SUPPLIES YOU DESIRE.
