This is the referrals page for the Banbury Baby Bank. The Baby Bank redistributes baby items like clothes, cots, high chairs and cloth nappies that have been used and loved by parents, but are no longer needed, to parents who cannot afford to buy these items new or second hand. We are working toward supplying new products like nappies, wet wipes, breast/maternity pads etc also.
We work with agencies who work with vulnerable families to help stop deprivation and stress, we help families struggling finacially, refugees, people escaping domestic violence etc to make sure that they are provided with items to ensure their babies’ basic needs are met. We also run a school uniform exchange that parents can access without referral for school age children.
We are new but hope to grow into the baby equivilent of a food bank, where those in need can access the help they need. The initial idea has been supported by Cherwell DC and Sanctuary Housing and we have lots of stock available on a first come first served bases. If you are professional working with families in need please email banburybabybank@gmail.com for further information or make a referal by texting 07915 251565 with a list of items needed and a contact number to arrange collection.
If you’re struggling for money, on a low income, and worrying about how you will provide for your children, then we can help. Talk to your midwife, family support worker, health visitor, food bank, social worker, housing association, or Children’s Centre and ask them to contact us on your behalf, for your privacy we do not take self referrals.
