Region 5 is in the NORTH area. Note that each piece has specific divisi prescribed - sometimes based on the area and sometimes not.
Correct - the TMEA audition software will handle registering your students after the first round when they advance. An invoice will be sent to you as quickly as practical.
We will do everything in our power to identify any openings and convey them to directors so each spot can be fully utilized.
I can't find anything written about alternates, but I believe the answer to your question is YES - they stand a decent chance of being called up. I guess because of the zone split - we would have to call both chair 11 from zone 1 and chair 11 from zone 2 to come to round 2.
If memory serves, we had at least a few missing people at round 2 last year. I REALLY want to avoid that this year if we can. Short of calling each director, I'm not sure how to ensure that, but I hope to make it very clear they need to communicate as early as possible if they have a kid ineligible or otherwise can't participate.

The top 20 students in each section advance to the second round. The next 30% of treble voices are placed in the Treble Honor Choir. All of these students perform as part of the Nov 9 clinic and concert.
No. Middle Schools operate within their seperate regions.
Yes - Cuts will be emailed out to directors that have registered here by 8am on Wednesday before round 1. Cuts will not be shared before any other round.
No - First round cuts will be emailed out to directors that have registered here by 8am on Wednesday immediately before round 1. Cuts will not be shared before any other round.
There will be NO release of cuts for the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Students will be handed a sheet with the cuts on them at the audition and they will need ot mark them without your help.
The 9/10 choirs fall within each TMEA region and are not part of the scope of Region 5 Small School Choir. You may need to contact your region vocal chair for more information.
