Comet Middle School Band
Band Festival Information: March 7th, 2025 Manchester High School
I am thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for our middle school band! On Friday March 7th, we will be participating in Band Festival at Manchester High School. The band performs at 4:30 PM, and this will be a fantastic experience for our students to perform, receive feedback, and grow as musicians.
This is a graded performance, similar to a concert, and since the entire band is being evaluated as a group, it is essential that all members are present. Barring emergencies, all students are expected to attend and participate.
For many of our students and families, this may be the first time participating in a festival like this. It’s a chance to showcase all the hard work they’ve put into rehearsals and to see other bands perform as well. These types of events build confidence, foster teamwork, and give students a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
Logistics & Attire
Transportation: Students will stay after school and take school-provided bussing to Manchester High School. However, parents will need to pick up their student from Manchester High School at the conclusion of the event, as there will be no return bus. If a parent cannot pick up their student, they will need to arrange for a ride home.
Attire: Students should wear a black dress top, black dress bottom, black dress socks, and black dress shoes. This is VERY important.
We will send more details as the event gets closer, but for now, please mark your calendars and encourage your child to stay committed to their practice as we prepare for this special performance!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your support in making this a meaningful experience for our band students!
If you are able and willing to chaperone this event, please reach out via email or Remind - I’d like to have 3-4 parents help. I am also in need of a parent that has a truck who would be willing to haul our band trailer/equipment to and from the event.
Best regards,
