Michaela Deprince

-Michaela DePrince was born in war-torn Sierra Leone, right in the midst of the country’s decade-long civil war.

-her father was killed by rebels and not to long later her mother died of fever and starvation.

-At a young age, Michaela had vitiligo, a condition that causes patches of skin to lose its color.

-vitiligo was widely considered a curse of the devil and her uncle abandoned her at an orphanage because of that.

-Michaela's adoptive parents recognized her talent for dance fast and enrolled her in Rock School For Dance Education.

-other than dancing Michaela loves working with disadvantaged kids. Michaela shares her message of hard work and hope. she always tells them to dream big
