Mrs. Sheldon's Class
Week 11
Week 11
We had such a fun time on our field trip to Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa last Monday! The students were asking great questions and really enjoyed their tour. Thank you to all of the parent drivers and chaperones who made this possible!
To wrap up our study of the Mission system this week, we will be building models in class. Please continue sending in any cardboard you may have around the house by Monday. Mrs. Bos sent out a sign up sheet last week, and if you are still interested in coming to help but didn't have a chance to sign up, feel free to message me and we can get that lined up. If you are coming to help and have an X acto knife or box cutter at home, that would be helpful to bring. Thank you for supporting our classroom and hands on learning!
Afternoon pick up runs much smoother and is much easier if you put your car sign up when you are going through event pick up. Please make sure your sign is visible in your windshield with the last name of your child written clearly for the staff member who is calling cars. This is for safety reasons and to make drive through go quickly and efficiently for everyone.
In Reading, we will be continuing our Book Clubs, and diving into our Independent Reading Projects. The at home project element guidelines will be sent home with your student on Monday. In Math, we are winding down on our multiplication strategies unit. A study guide will be sent home tomorrow, and students will be tested on Tuesday. For Social Studies this week, we will be wrapping up our study of the California Mission System by building Mission models! We will be doing this during Science block as well. In Bible, we are finishing our study of Judges. Students will be tested on Thursday and a study guide will be sent home Tuesday.
On October 27th we will be having a special welcome home Prayer and Pledge to those that have come back from the USS Abraham Lincoln. Please plan to wear Red White and Blue in lieu of Spirit Wear that day, as we want to show these families and students support and encouragement!
*Wear tennis shoes on Tuesday and Thursday for PE
*Bring binders to and from school each day
*October 21, Early Out 1:30 PM
Report cards will be emailed this Friday, October 23.
*October 29-30, Parent Teacher Conferences (No School)
