This week's update is fairly short.  With a half-week due to Parent-Teacher Conferences, we are going to catch up on any assignments missed due to our power outage last week as well as have a fun-filled week with some subject-based crafts and activities.  In addition to the fun activities in class this week, we get share our Pumpkin Character Transformations & Book Reports and celebrate harvest with Kour K-2nd Jesus is the Light Rotations.  

On Tuesday, we will be honoring military personnel returning from deployment on the USS Abraham Lincoln by wearing patriotic colors and welcoming them home.

There will be no Spelling Words or Memory Verse this week.  We will work on +7 Math Facts and will test again on Wednesday 10/28.  Here is a quick break down of special events this week.

• Monday - Catch Up time, Pumpkin Presentations throughout the day and Subject-based craft.

  • • Pumpkin Presentations - Please have your child bring their Pumpkin Character, Book, and Book Report in on Monday so we can share them with the class!

• Tuesday - Pumpkin Presentations throughout the day, Catch Up, and Crafts

• Wednesday - Pumpkin Presentations throughout the day, K-2 Jesus is the Light Rotations

  • • K-2nd Jesus is the Light Rotations - We get to take this fun and engaging opportunity to remember that Jesus is the light we have the privilege and responsibility to shine as we Walk Worthy for Christ each day!  During these rotations, each grade level will have a different focus and students will transition from class to class to participate in different activities centered around Christ during this harvest season!

      • • If any parents would like to come in a volunteer to help during our Jesus is the Light Rotations, I would love to have you!  Please let me know and I will place you on the schedule!

      • +7 Math Fact Test (due to less than 80% of the class passings the last +7 Math Fact test this past Friday with a score of 80% or higher, we will study facts again).

• Thursday & Friday - Parent-Teacher Conferences

  • • Thank you to all who signed up for Parent-Teacher conferences.  If you still need to sign up, there are plenty of space still open.  For those who have already signed up, I will write your conference time on your child's behavior log as a reminder.  I look forward to meeting with each of you to discuss how your child is doing this year!
