Let's Create a Japanese-Style Smart City!
A smart city is said to be a form of future city where "People, Things, and Matters" are connected.
Many people imagine a city full of AI and other technologies,
but at the center of it all are people and all living things.
Japan has already entered a "super-aging society,"
and there is a need for a city that is easy to live in regardless of race, gender, age, or disability.
The LIVES Project believes that a city that is easy for people with disabilities to live in
will be a city that is easy for all people to live in.
We hope that you will join us in this attempt to create a Japanese-Style Smart City
that connects people with disabilities and technology.
Technological development from the perspective of
people with disabilities will benefit all people,
regardless of whether they have disabilities or not!
Working every day, eating every day, and laughing every day, should be a part of our daily lives.
However, there are those who cannot do what we could consider as our daily activities.
Japan continues to be a difficult environment for those with disabilities to join the workforce and be a part of the community.
How difficult it is for people with mental, intellectual and physical challenges to live like others in our current society!
