Leila is a sophomore at Hanalani Schools and has been in MUN since 2022. She is now HanaMUN's elected President and is extremely honored to be Secretary General. Outside of MUN, you can find her running track, writing articles for Key Club, practicing for Science Olympiad and Cyber Patriots, or working with the HYCC. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the guitar, binge-watching Netflix, and anything literature-related (feel free to talk to her about any books :) ). Leila is excited to see the HanaMUN team's and delegates' work pay off this year!
Emma is a sophomore at Hanalani. She is the Vice President of the HanaMUN Program and is in her second year of MUN. Some of her hobbies include crocheting, swimming, and creating memes of her friends. She is working towards becoming a polyglot and is currently learning how to speak Japanese and read Chinese. She is so excited to be chairing this year!
Shiloh is a sophomore at Hanalani Schools and has been in Model UN since 2022. This year, she is HanaMUN’s social media manager. Other than MUN, she is involved in Key Club, tennis, Science Olympiad, and will be helping out in the spring play. She also is a part of theater outside of school in Pas De Deux and volunteers at New Hope Leeward. Shiloh is rooting for the advisors, staffers, and delegates' work to pay off this HanaMUN conference!
Yixssya Sanchez is a sophomore at Hanalani and is starting her second year as a delegate in Model UN. She has served several roles so far, from Russia in the IAEA to Bulgaria in UNWomen and Menelaus in the Trojan War JCC. This will be her first time chairing and she is extremely excited to have this new experience. In addition to being HanaMUN's secretary, she enjoys surfing, going to the beach, reading, and drawing.
Emily is a sophomore student and this will be her second year of Model UN. Besides Model UN, she is involved in photography, reading, art, and enjoys playing the bass. Emily is excited for HanaMUN to see the creative solutions delegates will come up with!
Derek is a senior at Hanalani and has been in MUN for 2 years. This year, he is HanaMUN's Treasurer! Besides this, he is the captain of the school's air riflery team, takes part in Science Olympiad, and is a part of Hanalani's engineering program. He likes to play piano and loves playing games like Resident Evil and Starfield. Derek looks forward to a great last year in MUN with his friends!
Brady is a senior at Hanalani Schools and has been in Model UN since 2022. This year, he is the Secretary of Outreach, meaning he helps the president recruit new members and organizes events for the club. He has gotten awards in MUN such as Verbal Commendation and Best Researched! Other than MUN, he participates in Air Riflery and was able to shoot in the state competition! He is excited to see you all at the conference and hopes you have an amazing time!
Aaron has been in Hanalani's MUN program for two years. He has had many experiences with the program: as a delegate, in New York City, and as a Chair at last year's HanaMUN. He is a history nerd and is particulary intersted in the Roman Empire. He also enjoys hiking and singing in the school choir. Aaron was a chair last year as well and cannot wait to see you all in committee!
Pule is in her second year of MUN and is currently a sophomore at Hanalani. She loves cats and sports. This will be her second time at HanaMUN and she is very excited to be staffing and looks forward to all the creative ways the delegates will approach the task at hand!
Leila is also serving as your Secretary General, but is excited to experience committee staffing time! This will be Leila's first time at HanaMUN and her first time staffing. She has recently discovered her love for crisis committees when she took on the role of Achilles in the JCC Trojan War, and is excited to be working with you all!
