The purpose of this Curriculum Writing Academy is to provide educators with an in-depth understanding of how to write curriculum using:
The Understanding by Design 3-stage framework;
Balanced assessments; and
Engaging, evidence-based lesson strategies
How do I complete the course?
The modules should be completed in the order they are presented. After each module, you'll take a quiz, and the quizzes build on information from previous modules.
You will need your Quia username and password to log in to take a quiz.
Do not move on from a module until you have scored a 90% on that module's quiz.
Once you have completed all the modules and earned a 90% on each quiz, fill out the form requesting your oral exam.
Each full stage completed is worth 7 points; completion of this entire course earns you 21 hours.
Helpful Hint
Note that each module is dense with information. The full course will take about 10-20 hours depending on your familiarity with curriculum theory; plan your time appropriately.
