Dear HCS Staff Members:
Welcome to the CIA HQ! The purpose of the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (CIA) Team is to serve and support HCS schools so that every student’s achievement is maximized. The CIA HQ is just one strategy for addressing our focus on ensuring a guaranteed and viable curriculum. As Dr. Robert Marzano (2003) shared in What Works in Schools: Translating Research Into Action, one of the most significant evidence-based principles of school reform is getting our curriculum right. Each school year, we will engage in ongoing conversations about ensuring a guaranteed and viable curriculum for all learners in HCS.
