Samuel Payan

Saludos!!

My name is Samuel Payan and I obtained my Masters degree in School Psychology from Valparaiso University and my Bachelors in Psychology & Sociology from Augustana College. Previous to Morton High School I worked at multicultural centers at the university level for about 6 years. I want to continue my life’s work in supporting others and continue to mentor our future leaders.

While I am away from my desk you will find me in the wilderness onto a new adventure. I also enjoy playing sports of all types and weightlifting.

Monique Boyd

Hello, my name is Monique Boyd. I received my undergrad from Purdue Calumet in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. I have a second bachelors in Sociology and a Masters of Arts in Counseling. I have a background in working with at risk youth in the foster care system and 6 years with the State of Indiana child services.


In my spare time I like to spend time with my fiancé, shop for DIY projects, and binge watch tv shows. It is my pleasure to be your counselor for the 21-22 academic school year.

Erin Reardon

Hello, my name is Erin Reardon. I received my Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Governors State University and a Masters of Science in Education in School Counseling from Purdue University Northwest. Previous to working at Morton High School, I worked as an Adjunct Counselor at South Suburban Community College. I also spent the last 14 years working with high school students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.


I spend my spare time at the paintball field watching my son play or snuggling up on the couch with my three dogs. When I’m not doing the above, I’m traveling or spending time at the beach!

Brigid Lukas

Hello, my name is Brigid Lukas. I received a double Bachelors degree in Human Development/Family Studies and Criminal Justice from PNW. I also have my Masters of Science in Education in School Counseling as well as mental health counseling from PNW. Previous to working at Morton High School, I was a School Counselor for grades K-5. I also have an extensive background working with families involved in the DCS system.


When I’m not at school I love to spend time with my husband and 2 kids. We enjoy traveling, watching movies and shopping.

My name is Jacqueline Guerrero and it’s great to meet you! I’m excited to be a part of a great team!


A little bit about my educational background: This is my 19+ year as a School Counselor. I obtained my Masters degree in School Counseling from Purdue Calumet and my Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. Prior to coming to Morton High School I worked at American School for 3 years, 15 years at Gary Community School and a year at East Chicago Central High School. I have a wide variety of experience working with youth preparing them for their post - secondary experiences. I thrive off building relationships with my students and it’s what I strive to do everyday.


I look forward to meeting with you all!


A few of my favorite things are: Spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercising, watching my favorite tv shows and reading.
