Applying to college?

Helpful Tips

  • Apply early before November 1st. Many merit based scholarships deadlines are due on November 1st.

  • Complete and file the FAFSA as soon as possible. The FAFSA is available to file on October 1st.

  • Be on the lookout for any scholarships shared on your Google Classroom

Common Application

  • The common application helps you to apply to colleges more efficiently.

  • You will only have to complete one profile and your application will be sent to all of your colleges that subscribe to the common application.

  • CHECK IT OUT!!!

Common Application Instructions

  • You must remember to electronically invite your school counselor

  • Prior to your counselor completing their portion of the Common Application, you must have requested your transcript from Parchment to the Common App

  • On Parchment, make sure to select the Common Application option where you will need to enter your Common Application ID number.

College.gov - designed by students for students and features first-person accounts of students who overcame challenges to going to college such as peer pressure, lack of family support, and financial barriers. It provides relevant, comprehensive information about why to go, how to go, and how to pay for college or other postsecondary education programs.

IN Transfer Core Library - The CTL is a list of 89 courses that are pre-approved for transfer between all Indiana public college and university campuses, which also includes six independent colleges and universities. It also lists the number of credits awarded for each course.
