Using the “hands on” technique, student’s learn and work various positions in authentic radio and television studios with industry standard equipment. Students will develop oral and written communications skills, acquire software and equipment operating abilities, and integrate teamwork.

INTRO TO AUDIO/VIDEO PRODUCTION
This course offers first year students an overview of audio and video production. It is an introduction to the basic production equipment, skills, and techniques related to audio/video production. Students will receive hands on instruction in the various aspects of production to include directing, camera operation, audio, and lighting. Students also learn the basics of video/audio editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.

AUDIO PRODUCTION
This course provides an in-depth study on audio production techniques for radio, television, and digital technologies. Students will learn the skills necessary for audio production and on-air work used in radio and other digital formats. They will gain knowledge in audio creation and mixing using Adobe Audition. Students will also learn the basics of incorporating sound design and creating their own sound library.

Video productions are audio and visual expressions. Students are encouraged to maximize their creativity while creating these projects. During the video productions, each student will have the experience of each different job position in television.
