The Fountas & Pinnell Classroom™ Interactive Read-Aloud Collection is organized into text sets with a variety of authors and illustrators, genres, topics, themes, and text structures. The text sets are intended to be used by classroom teachers in a whole-group literacy instruction setting where the teacher reads aloud a book from the text set and students share their thinking.
Along with each text, comes an Interactive Read-Aloud Lesson Folder with supplied questions and talking points for teachers to utilize during the interactive read aloud. There are additional inquiry based projects and extension ideas of the learning for teachers to implement with their students to deepen their understanding of a text.

In the drop down menu of this Critical Literacy Strategies and Aligned Texts page, there are three different text sets from the Fountas & Pinnell Classroom™ Interactive Read-Aloud Collection. Along with the text and the supplied Interactive Read-Aloud Lesson Folder, I have aligned additional questioning techniques and critical literacy strategies that teachers can use to deepen students' understanding of the texts.
