The purpose of this website is to provide elementary teachers with resources to deepen the questioning strategies they use with students during a reading experience, and ultimately deepen student's thinking about a text.

The Critical Literacy page provides background information about critical literacy strategies and pedagogy you could use in the classroom with students to deepen their understanding of texts. One strategy teachers use to deepen student understanding of a text and deepen their questing strategies is using critical literacy strategies.
The Strategies and Aligned Texts gives teachers strategies to implement with students to deepen their understanding of text.
