Remembering Ed Hessler

All of us at the Center for Global Environmental Education are saddened to learn of our colleague Ed Hessler's passing. Ed brought to CGEE a wealth of experience and perspectives on the nature and practice of science. For nearly two decades he was a regular source of insights and ideas that greatly enriched our work as science educators. He also was generous in sharing his love of poetry. It wasn’t unusual for him to grace his contributions to curriculum development projects with relevant stanza or two from a favorite poet. He was as self-effacing and soft spoken as he was prolific with the written word. For years he was far and away the most frequent contributor to our Sustainable Commons blog about the natural world that we shared with our followers. 

Ed and his voice and passion will be greatly missed.
