Alumni, do you have a cap and gown you no longer want? We are happy to take it for future students to use. Consider dropping it off at Drew Science Center in locker 42. 

Little Free Library Devoted to the Environment!

The Little Free Library #172232 in Maple Grove, MN outside of the Eastman Nature Center in the Elm Creek Park Preserve is devoted to environmental and nature related books. 

Lawns to Legumes: Your Yard Can BEE the Change

Check out the State of Minnesota's lawn guide; "The Lawns to Legumes program offers a combination of workshops, coaching, planting guides and cost-share funding (individual support grants) for installing pollinator-friendly native plantings in residential lawns."

Access your county's recycling programs! 

Did you know? Many counties offer resources for recycling including for medicines, yard waste, and hazardous materials. Check out some guides below:

Recycling Exists!

Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington have put together a new website and ad campaign to remind Minnesotans that there are many local ways to recycle. They offer general and county specific guides and resources. Check out their website here!

Minnesota Tool Library

With locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN, the Minnesota Tool Library invites people to borrow tools for seven days, take classes, and use their workspace.

Prairie Pod

Prairie Pod is a podcast hosted by the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources devoted to "[communicating] the science surrounding prairie conservation, restoration/reconstruction, and management. Each episode covers a prairie-focused topic, and offers insights on related literature and places to explore Minnesota's beautiful prairies and other amazing natural areas." See links and descriptions to each episode on the DNR's website or on podcast hosting sites.

U of MN ReUse Program

The ReUse Program at the University of Minnesota collects and sells unwanted supplies. See their website for dates and times that they are open to the public. Their Facebook page advertises some available items.

LumberStash

Lumber Stash is a MN company that seeks to reclaim lumber from construction sites or individual deconstruction/renovation projects to be used again.
