Please find below a collection of resources that will help to get you on your way to building your course in the Canvas LMS. Log in to Canvas using your Hamline credentials at https://canvas.hamline.edu. All current Hamline faculty can enroll in a self-paced, introductory course in Canvas called "Growing with Canvas" which will introduce you to all of the basic features in Canvas.

Don't Forget to Publish Your Canvas Course and Check the Start Date!

By default, Canvas sets the start dates 2 days prior to the official start of the course.  Check your course start date under "Settings".  Students will only see the course and the contents that you published when the start date is set to the appropriate date you want it to open. Then, don't forget to publish your course so students can see the contents in the course in Canvas. Here is a link to instructions for publishing.

This is a list of common questions and answers that will help you navigate the end of the semester in Canvas.


Where did my completed courses go? 

After the term ends, your course(s) will move from the "Dashboard" to "Past Enrollments" which is located under Courses>All Courses>Past Enrollments. You can still access these courses and all of it's content. Keep in mind  you are not able to move "Past Enrollments" back to your "Dashboard".
