The Quest to Resiliency

INVENTORY SLOTS:

Fill them with your Coping Skills/ Strategies!

Resiliency: Your ability to spring back from a seemingly difficult situation

Coping Skills/ Strategies: Techniques, ideas, things you can do, things you have done, and what works for you to overcome challenges in your life. (example: belly breathing, communicating with friends, thinking of positive thoughts, etc.)

To Play:

  1. Label the 8 sections according to the various areas of your life (examples: Friendships, Brother/ Sister, Math Student, Football player, Artist, Singer, etc.)

  2. DICE! 2 six-sided dice.

  3. Scavenge for Resources. Start with the area of your life you are currently in. What about that area of your life was particularly difficult and what did you do to overcome the challenge? That would be your resource!

  4. Fill your inventory with your resources.

  5. Roll both dice, the result is where you move to next. (Re-roll the dice if were already where in that area)

  6. Repeat! till you have eight resources

Now look at your inventory and see for yourself your very own coping skills/ strategies to overcome challenges that arise in your life.
