If your child is still learning how to tie shoes, it may be beneficial for them to wear slip on or velcro shoes to school until they have mastered how to tie securely. For safety, teachers and staff don't want to touch laces that may have touched everything, including the bathroom floor. ;) You probably also do not want your child playing with them.
