About Ms. Boettcher
1st Grade
1st Grade
Dear 1st Grade Families,
My name is Brooke Boettcher, and I will be your child’s first grade teacher this year. I am so excited to begin the school year and to work with you and your child. This will be my tenth year at Marcy Elementary, and I am honored to be part of such a wonderful school!
My fiancé and I just bought a house in Brookfield last February, and shortly after were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Austin. He just turned 6 months old and is the light of my life! He loves to smile, giggle, jump, read, and go for walks. He also enjoys when I sing to him, make silly noises and dance. I've included lots of pictures below!
I was born and raised in Green Bay (GO PACK!!) and I am the oldest of three. I have two younger brothers Brent and Brennan, four adorable nieces Harper (11), Elliot (8), Noelle (7), Pierce (4), and two handsome nephews, William (4) and Henry (1). I still go back to Green Bay quite often to spend time with my parents and family that live there. My parents also have a lake house in Pound (about 40 minutes north of Green Bay) and we enjoy spending time up there relaxing.
After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood, fulfilling my life time dream of becoming a teacher. It’s hard to believe, but this will be my 19th year of teaching. Prior to working at Marcy, I worked as a three year-old Kindergarten teacher in MPS for 4 years. I then moved back to Green Bay where I taught Kindergarten for 3 years and then jumped up to 2nd grade for a year, and then a 2nd/3rd grade combination. This will be my tenth year teaching 1st grade.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the upcoming year, which surely promises to bring with it, many new experiences. In order to make the year a successful one, teamwork and cooperation will be required by all. As your son or daughter’s teacher, it is my goal to help him/her become a confident learner and I will do my best to help make this year a positive experience for your child. It is my belief that positive interaction between teacher and parent strengthens the feeling of support all children need for success in school. I encourage you to feel comfortable asking questions or sharing concerns throughout the year.
My preferred method, and easiest way for you to get a hold of me during the day, is through messenger on the FAMILY Seesaw app. You may also feel free contact me at boetbr@hamilton.k12.wi.us as this email is checked on a daily basis.
I look forward to beginning the school year and to work with your family. I know we will work together to have a successful and fun year!
Sincerely,
Brooke Boettcher
AUSTIN!!
