About the Teacher

My name is Mrs. Skaros and this is my 9th year teaching Art. I'm looking forward to starting my 7th year in the Hamilton-Sussex School District. 

So, here's the part where you learn a little bit about me...

I have been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. I loved creating when I was younger with any kind of material but had a specific love for paint and how the colors mixed together.  To this day, I still feel the same way about paint and getting to explore the qualities of it. 

I went to UW-Milwaukee to become an Art Teacher and was able to learn about all different types of art mediums and styles. This is where I fell in love with ceramics (clay) . As of now, I usually work with paint or clay, but like to experiment with any supplies I can get my hands on!

As for my family...

My husband and I have a 6 year old son named Cooper, a 3 year old girl named Charlie and a dog named Dalton. As a family we enjoy traveling, hiking, being outdoors and attending sporting events. I love sparking the artistic joy in my kiddos as well when we get messy with shaving cream and paint! Just ask and maybe you'll get to explore it in class with me!
