Students taking this class will advance their knowledge in the areas of various types of welding and advanced design-to-fabrication projects. The course is very much lab-based, and is designed to teach students through numerous hands-on activities.

Students will learn basic concepts of stick and MIG welding, practicing a variety of weld types
Welding Bend Test:
Students will learn and practice the procedure for a welding bend test, which simulates an industry certification process
Griddle Project
Students use many shop processes and machines to create a small grill. They learn about:

Students will learn how to operate a variety of power hand tools, a hydraulic shear, SMAW welder and GMAW welder
