For those new to the Wauka Mountain community, our PTO hosts an annual Spring fundraiser called "Waukathon" during our field annual field day. Below are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
"WHEN IS WAUKATHON? " -->This year, Waukathon and field day are on Friday, 3/29 beginning at 9am and lasting approximately to 1pm.
"WHAT IS THE MONEY RAISED USED FOR?"--> Funds raised annually go to support our MI class and instructional needs. Our PTO also uses funds for teacher appreciation and improvements around Wauka Mountain Academy's campus. They have an impact on every classroom at Wauka Mountain.
"CAN PARENTS SHOW UP AND WATCH THEIR STUDENT(S) AT FIELD DAY?"--> Yes! We simply ask all spectators to remain outside of the building and remain out of the way of events.
"I WANT TO SUPPORT WAUKATHON AND MY STUDENT"S SCHOOL. WHO DO I WRITE A CHECK TO?"--> Checks can be made payable to Wauka Mountain Academy PTO.
Every student will receive a Waukathon T-shirt the day of the event, and students can earn prizes based on how much they raise for Waukathon. Every little bit helps as students can earn prizes as an individual, a class, or for the whole school!
Prize details below:
The top prize is an evening at the Braves game on August 4th! These are great seats right behind the visitor dugout, and come with refreshments at the private dugout lounge! Thanks to Clipper Petroleum for this generous prize donation.
Reminder for the car rider line that at the merge, where 2 lanes come to 1, please alternate and take turns letting other cars in.
Wauka Mountain Academy is excited for RUNNING CLUB to start at the end of this month for 4th and 5th graders only. The club will meet after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 3:30.
Parents must be able to pick up students after club practices.
Participants will be able to participate in the Fit Families 5k in May.

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your student's lunch time to allow time to check in at the office

Beginning on 9/5 we are excited to be able to welcome family members to eat lunch with their student on select days. We ask that the following guidelines are observed:
Each student will be limited to 2 guests. Each guest must have ID, and at least 1 guest must be listed in the student's Infinite Campus profile as an approved contact (ie; household member or other approved contact); you may check this information via parent portal.
Guests must check in at the front office and wait to meet their student there.
Please send a note with your student that day to give to their teacher.
Eating areas will be outside, and subject to weather. Guests will not be allowed to eat in the cafeteria, though they may go through the line and get a tray.
Due to safety and available space, we will limit the number of overall students that may have guests to 3 or 4 per grade level per day. Guests must sign in using THIS LINK . If a date is not available, it is because all of the available slots have been taken at that time.
Due to the limited availability of slots to join your students at lunch, please do not sign up for multiple or consecutive dates at one time. This will allow more people to enjoy this time with their students.
Your student will need to come back to the front office after lunch, and we will return them to class. Guests will not be able to walk there student back to class.
Lunch & Snack Note - Please do not send your students with carbonated sodas for snack or in their lunchboxes. Sugary or caffeinated beverages are strongly discouraged

Unless you have received prior approval from Wauka Mountain administration, please do not drop off your student in the bus lane or in front of the school.
Car riders will enter campus from HWY 52 to Dinnan Drive, and follow the road around the field to the drop off area (Yellow highlight in the picture).
After 7:45, or when checking a tardy student in, please use the front office entrance.
Students need to be in the building by 7:45 to avoid being marked tardy
